Former Edelman Global Practice Chairman to Lead Strategic Direction of Significant Client Relationships for the Firm
West Palm Beach, Fla., Jan. 4, 2012 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN), the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organizations protect and enhance their enterprise value, today announced the appointment of Robert C. Knott as Senior Managing Director in the Corporate Communications group of the firm’s Strategic Communications practice.
In this role, Mr. Knott will oversee the management of important client relationships across multiple practices and sectors. He will be based in Washington, D.C.
With 20 years of corporate communications experience and deep expertise in a broad diversity of industries and issues, Mr. Knott has developed and implemented successful, award-winning campaigns for many of the world’s largest companies and most respected brands.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Knott was Global Practice Chairman at Edelman, where he managed relationships with multiple Fortune 500 brands. Mr. Knott is proficient at various forms of strategic communications, including organizational positioning, reputation management, public affairs and issues management.
Previous to his time at Edelman, he was Director of Marketing and Communications at HealthExtras, now Catalyst Health Solutions, and Leader of Corporate Communications and Marketing at TESSCO Technologies. Earlier in his career, Bob held communications leadership positions at Bon Secours Baltimore Health Systems and Archdiocese of Baltimore. He graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University with a Bachelor of Arts in processional writing and from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland with a Master of Arts in business administration.
